Randy is transitioning into retirement and taking his turn to pursue this passion. His skill on the lathe, his imagination, and sense of harmony with nature allows his wood blocks to be spun into profoundly beautiful pieces.

His passion lives in an infinite variety of grains, patterns, personalities and elements engulfed within the wood. Reverse grains, punky places, the denseness of latewood contrasting early wood, knots and holes all tell the tales of time past. The life story of the wood can be examined when enjoying a piece of Randy’s work.
